- Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the ancestral land.
- On Saturday (January 7) morning, he visited the ancestral land at Puber Bill of Patgati Union of Tungipara Upazila of Gopalganj.
- The lands belonging to the wetlands are under water for 8-9 months of the year. Bangabandhu gave instructions to make these lands suitable for cultivation by cultivating vegetables and other crops on floating beds.

- Meanwhile, the Prime Minister urged the countrymen to cultivate all the uncultivated fallow lands across the country. Not even an inch of land should be left empty anywhere.
