A Break Up Poem
I broke up with you, but you broke up with me silently, without strong evidence. I moved to your living room couch in the middle of the night, while you slept peacefully.
Until you turned over to a missing body.
With a theatric shock you walked into the living room to find me curled beneath a blanket. Too numb to cry over a boy who didn’t feel.
I pulled the trigger, but you put bullets in the gun.
Until what we had lied lifeless beneath us. A crime scene of what we were too stubborn to ever be.
