What is Daily Routine in English? 

Daily routine means the actions, activities or works that you perform on a daily basis. 

For instance, rising from bed in the morning, going to office, having breakfast, lunch and dinner, playing sports, studying and sleeping are the types of activities that you do everyday. 

In simple terms, daily routine is a fixed way of doing things daily.


Why Learn to Speak about Daily Routine in English? 

Daily routine, as the name suggests, is all the works that are carried out on a daily basis. 

When it comes to describing our daily routine in our own tongues, we are able to speak about it effectively and efficiently, but as to expressing these ideas or activities in English, we are not capable of doing so. 

Therefore, while learning English, speaking about our daily routine should be the first topic for practicing speaking. 

On doing so only, we become able to speak in English. Think of speaking in English over a particular topic. You can simply learn all the necessary words used in that topic and speak on that topic.

I usually wake up at 7 o'clock in the morning. Then, I finish my morning activities like making my bed, brushing my teeth, taking a shower, doing my hair and preparing my breakfast. 

And then, I get dressed, have my breakfast and set off for school, college or university

After getting to school, I first perform school prayer. Then, I arrive at the classroom before the teachers come in. 

And then, I continuously attend different lectures on different subjects given by different teachers till 2 o'clock. 

After that, I come back home, put away my school bag, change out of school uniform, freshen up, have lunch and take a nap for a while. 

After 4 o'clock, I go to the playground near my house and play cricket with my friends till the evening. 

After returning from the playground and refreshing myself, I move to my reading-room where I spend 2 hours reading books and doing my homework till I have dinner. Finally, I go to bed at 9 o'clock.
