How to celebrate a Picnic

Lesson 11

A Picnic With My Friends

A picnic is an event organised by a group of people to have a meal outdoors usually by the sea or pond.

It was the 12th century when the idea of a picnic was described in the Persian poetry book, the Rubaiyat written by Omar Khayyam. The picnic society in London was organised in 1800, and a famous painting of a picnic was published by the French artist, Manet in 1862.

This way, the concept of picnic got off the ground and arrived at different parts of the world.

A picnic is a great stress buster. It helps us reduce our stress and anxiety

When we have a picnic, we get several benefits such as breathing in the fresh air, bonding with family and friends, letting go of stress, enjoying a healthy mood and taking a yummy food.

Three days ago, we, a group of 7 friends, planned a picnic on a beach. As soon as we reached our destination, everyone jumped with joy, got out of the car and started camping

After preparing meal, we all enjoyed playing different games. We then had the meal in the afternoon. Finally we got to our homes with a fresh and happy mood.
