Farmers in English

Lesson 19

Farmers Vocabulary in English

Farmers are the persons who are involved in the cultivation of food. There are mainly two types of farmers. Some farmers grow crops like rice, wheat, barley, etc. Some of them are engaged in cultivating fruits like apples, mangoes, bananas, etc.

They do a physically arduous job as, no matter how sunny or rainy the day is, they have to be there in the fields and take care of their crops. They play a vital role in the society as they burn in the sun, get wet in rain to produce food. It's a fact that farmers are the heart and soul of human society. The entire world is dependent on farmers for food.

They're the backbone of our country because they also contribute to the economy of our country.

It is not baseless that our life is completely out of question in the absence of the farmers who make a ceaseless and onerous effort to provide us with what we eat.

Although the farmers give us what we live on, yet they live from hand to mouth, because they're unable to make a quick buck by doing their job. As such the farmers should be encouraged to continue to engage in food production by the government, and regarded as the most valuable, important and respected community by every single of us.
