7 winning images at the Mangrove Photography Awards
The United States-based organization 'Mangrove Action Project' works to protect and develop mangroves or breathing forests worldwide. The organization has been organizing the photo competition for eight years to create awareness among people. 'Mangrove Photography Award' brings out the latest images of mangrove forests along with wildlife, lifestyle of people in coastal areas. This time more than 2 thousand photos of photographers from 68 countries were submitted. A picture of a crocodile by Cuba's Tanya Huppermans won the competition. Titled 'Guardian of the Mangroves'. Competition is held in six disciplines. In the 'Humans' category, Bangladeshi photographer Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman's 'Honey Hunters' photo of a moual of Sundarbans won the best award.
