My Best Friend in English

Lesson 9

How to Describe My Best Friend in English?

The proverb, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” proves to be very true in my life.

My best friend stays with me through thick and thin, shares his deepest secrets and intimate thoughts with me, expresses empathy for me, encourages me to do what is best, acts as a lighthouse for me when I'm lost, prepares me to be a kind person, understands my problems and gives solutions to them, trusts me and values me over others.

It was 2019 when our friendship started. Since then we've been strengthening the relationship between us. We went on holiday, visited many great places and spent time together. We motivatedencouraged and helped each other when facing difficulties.

The best quality of my friend that appeals to me most is his helping nature. The proverb, “Birds of a feather flock together.” holds true in our case, because we both love to help the needy and give the poor a hand up.

I feel that I'm extremely fortunate to have such a loyal, trustworthy and honest friend in my life.

Long live our friendship!
